Prof. Danny Piano, a former Chamber Director and President, is again running as a Chamber officer this 2017. Below are some information regarding his background and experience.
PRESENT:

- Philippine Branch President (21 years) – Absolute Service Inc, a company providing book ancillary services to the biggest publishers in the US like Pearson, McMillan, McGraw. ASI is the only company in the Subic Bay area which was awarded the Strategic Workforce Development Award by the Employers Confederation of the Philippines as presented by former President Aquino.
- Owner (5 years) – Craftmasters, a PCAB-licensed and SBMA-accredited company providing building design, engineering, and construction services.
- Technical Consultant (4 years) – Caring-One, a healthcare-related US BPO company.
- College President (1 year) – Comteq College, a technical school which recently garnered gold medals in Web Design, Systems Administration, Network Cabling, Software Solutions, and Mobile Robotics during the recent TESDA provincial skills competition.
- Senior Lecturer, Master in Business Management (10 years) – University of the Philippines – Diliman Extension Program in Olongapo.
- President Emeritus (4 years) – Subic Bay Freeport Chamber of Commerce. Heads the Technical and Vocational Training and Education (TVET) Committee. Used to be SBFCC President from 2009-2013.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND TRAINING:
Graduate of Civil Engineering, took Mechanical Engineering, Certified Machinist Apprentice (US Navy), Computer Science Specialist (enterprise-class mainframe and micro with applications developed for Washington DC and several US Naval Bases), and Master in Business Management.
AS PREVIOUS SBFCC DIRECTOR AND PRESIDENT:
- Developed the SBFCC website in 2008; refreshed in 2016. Developed an online jobs portal (www.subicjobfair.com) which is free to employers and job seekers.
- During my term, the SBFCC became a member of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, World Chambers Network, and Employers Confederation of the Philippines. The SBFCC also became an authorized marketer of the Philippine Retirement Authority.
- Primary author of numerous position papers:
- Crafted paper requesting the BCDA to ban billboards along SCTEX. Positive reply from BCDA. Still being implemented many years later.
- Crafted the Independent Investigation Findings of the SBFCC in Relation to the Waste Dumping Near Subic Bay. Copies were requested by the Philippine Senate and the US Embassy for their own investigations.
- Arranged for and installed an Automatic Identification System (AIS) antenna to track sea-going vessels. The very first in the Subic Bay area… even before the SBMA did.
- Wrote Malacañang supporting and endorsing Open-skies Policy for the Subic Bay Freeport. Initiative approved!
- Requested President Aquino to fast-track the ASEAN-India Free Trade Agreement. AIFTA approved!
- Primary author of position papers regarding CUSA, ETAF, and many others. Blogged about issues and a diversity of things (www.sbfcc.blogspot.com).
- Among first responders during calamities. A Platinum Member of the Phil. Red Cross. Also, a UNICEF Champion for Children.
